The Story You’re About to Hear is True. These words were first uttered on June 3, 1949 when Dragnet debuted as an Old Time Radio drama featuring Jack Webb. Prior to this role, Webb was known for playing radio detectives with a rebellious attitude.

Dragnet revolutionized crime dramas by treating the police with respect and incorporating a realistic element that has influenced the genre ever since.

In March 2007, Adam Graham launched The Old Dragnet Show with the mission of posting every Old Time Radio episode of Dragnet, starting from the first episode in June 1949 to the final show in September 1955. Adam releases one new Dragnet episode per week, recreating the anticipation of a brand new episode every week. Occasionally, he treats listeners to another Webb Old Time Radio production as a bonus.

Adam serves as your guide on each episode, offering his unique everyman commentary, sharing listener feedback, and answering questions along the way. While the shows contain original public service announcements, most of the original cigarette ads have been removed.
